Diving Thailand - East Coast / West Coast

Thailand has for many years been one of the most popular travel destinations in the world. Famous for it's golden beaches, tropical islands and unique culture, the "Land of Smiles" offers some spectacular diving.

Thailand diving is based on two seperate coasts, the Gulf Of Thailand (East Coast) and the Andaman Sea (West Coast). Both sides offer superb dive sites and opportunites for all levels of experience.

Centered around the three islands of Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, this region of the South China Sea is the most popular diving destination in Asia for both beginners, advanced divers and potential dive professionals.

For divers, highlights include the famous "Pinnacles" (Chumphon Pinnacle & South West Pinnacle), Ang Thong Marine Park, Sail Rock, Koh Nang Yuan (Twins), White Rock and Green Rock.

An alternative to the three islands is the eastern seaboard just over 150km from Bangkok.

Thailand's longest established beach resort, Pattaya and the beautiful islands of Koh Samet and Koh Chang offer divers the chance to explore the "Far Islands" and "Near Islands".

Scuba DivingThailand's only true deep dive sites, Hin Daeng (Red Rock) and Hin Muang (Purple Rock) can be found around the twin islands of Koh Phi Phi, also home to the famous sites at Koh Bida, Shark Point and Thailand's most famous wreck dive, the
"King Cruiser" wreck.

Easy access to these diving sites are from our affiliates in Phuket, Krabi and Ao Nang Beach.

Further along the coast heading north, are Thailand's true gems, The Similans, Surin Islands and The Burma Banks. The nine Similan Islands have been voted among the "ten most beautiful places in the world" and for advanced divers this is the place to see underwater beauty of the highest order.

The Surin Islands are the northern most point in Thailand's Andaman Sea, famous for it's huge variety of marine life and still considered Thailand's "undiscovered beauty!" The Burma Banks have only recently been opened up to divers but it has certainly been worth the wait. To sum up these dive sites in one word is easy - Sharks! This is true deep ocean diving at it's best.

These wonderful diving sites are accessible from our affiliates in Phuket and Khao Lak.
